Bartender overview

Bartender lets you organize your menu-bar apps by hiding them, rearranging them, or moving them to Bartender's Bar. You can display the full menu bar, set options to have menu-bar items show in the menu bar when they have updated, or have them always visible in Bartender's Bar.

Bartender should now find more items names, rather than labelling them as MenuItem
Indexing will now filter out more invalid processes, and complete faster

***As of v6.1 (the current version), the dev designated version 6 as SPECIFICALLY (ONLY) for macOS 26 TAHOE! IOW don't bother trying it on earlier versions of macOS. IOW it's NOT for macOS 15 or earlier. That may clear up why it's a horrific mess on Sequoia. Hopefully, MU will correct its OS listing above. 😬

Version 6.1.0 has been the current version of Bartender for days now, not 6.0.4. Still buggy though, I've moved temporarily to Ice which does work fine under MacOS 26.

I had a licence for version 5, bought the version 6 upgrade because I needed it for Tahoe and my fallback "Ice" wasn't working any more — but it's really a buggy mess. Even made my Mac sluggish, icons disappear, jump around, positions are not saved. Be warned. Used the latest version 6.1.0 of Bartender. v5.5.3 is out, for those waiting on v6.x, like me. Release Notes: "• Fixes an issue where image triggers were firing too often and causing purple indicator to show. • Resolved an issue that caused higher than expected CPU impact when arranging. • Fixed an issue with Bartender Bar showing items it didn't need to."

WAIT to upgrade to v6.x. It's a horror mess. Horror. I have VITAL menubar items I use constantly and I don't want them buried in Bartender. Attempting to drag them out and place them where you demand they be is a Waste-Of-Time now. They go flying back where Bartender wants them, overriding the user. Well yuck that!!! Horror. 😠
