Bartender overview
Bartender lets you organize your menu-bar apps by hiding them, rearranging them, or moving them to Bartender's Bar. You can display the full menu bar, set options to have menu-bar items show in the menu bar when they have updated, or have them always visible in Bartender's Bar.

I've tendered my resignation as a user of Bartender 6. I'm done with the incessant, never solved bugs. I'm looking elsewhere for a menubar organizer. All told, after all these iterations of version 6, I've told the developers that I'm irate and consider them to be insanely stupid. 😠

v6.4.2 is out. Great, another pretend final version while we continue what amounts to a beta-test of this ridicuous v6.x. Yes, I told them my perspective on this annoying nonsense. One of these days, maybe it will be worth owning, but not yet. 😖

Version: 6.4.1
v6.4.1 is an improvement, making the layout a bit more reliable. But it doesn't take much for it to go haywire again. I'm using it. I'm daily correcting it. Sometimes, after a Restart, the layout is wrong again. Quitting and restarting the app typically wakes it up again into coherence. All in all, v6.x is still a disappointment. 😔

I'm sorry to say that v6.3.1 only makes things worse. (1) Certain menubar icons, the same ones that jumped back behind the Bartender icon after system Restart, are now invisible to Bartender. Gone. You can't do anything with them. - - I've been in contact with the dev and gotten nowhere. I'd beta tested v6.3.1 for them, pointed out this worsening problem, attempted to hypothesize the cause and... this faulty version was released anyway. Deja vu Apple beta testing. (2) Pasting in the license Key from anything but Apple's system copy/paste system continues to fail. Again, they know about it and haven't fixed it. - - I'm about to give up.

I have been a long-time user of Bartender, however it's been a total disaster since it's changed developers. I was an alpha tester for version 6, but developers have not done much of anything to fix a multitude of problems with icons disappearing, or moving around in the menubar, having the cursor completely disappear while using it, etc. I updated to version 6 in hopes that it would be eventually fixed, but it doesn't seem like it ever will be. I have completely switched over to Barbee (on the App Store), and while Barbee isn't perfect, it has most of the features of Bartender, but doesn't implode every time I use it.
